The Vancouver Canucks dipped into the NCAA free agent market on Tuesday and signed forward Griffen Molino to a two-year entry-level contract.

Molino spent the past two seasons at Western Michigan University. He led the Broncos in assists (18) this season and finished second in goals (15). He accumulated 29 penalty minutes and a plus-9 rating in 40 games.

He posted 11 goals and 14 assists in 36 games last season.

Matheson Iacopelli, who was the lone Bronco to outscore Molino this season with 20 goals and 36 points, will sign with the Chicago Blackhawks, according to ESPN's John Buccigross. Iacopelli was a third-round pick of the Blackhawks in 2014.
