The Montreal Alouettes have told Tommy Condell he will not be their next head coach, according to a report from Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette.

Condell interviewed for the position after helping the Toronto Argonauts win the Grey Cup this past season as their receivers coach.

Condell joined Toronto after a year off coaching in 2016. Prior to that he was the Hamilton Tiger-Cats offensive coordinator for three seasons, helping the Black and Gold to back-to-back Grey Cup appearances in 2013-14.
