Shane Doan is sticking around for another year.

According to Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports, the Coyotes captain has agreed to sign a one-year contract with the only franchise he knows.

Doan, 39, scored a team high 28 goals and added 19 assists in 72 games with the Coyotes in 2015-16.

He has been with the Coyotes franchise since being drafted by the Winnipeg Jets (seventh overall) in 1995.

Doan finished the final year of his four-year, $21.2 million contract he signed in 2012 with the Desert Dogs this past season.

A veteran of 1,466 career NHL games, Doan has scored 396 goals and tallied 549 assists.

He set the Coyotes franchise record for goals earlier this season.
