Miami, FL  - The Miami Dolphins have reportedly made Mike Pouncey the highest-paid center in the NFL with a 5-year contract extension.

ESPN reports the extension is worth $52.15 million, which would make him the highest-paid center in the NFL.

Pouncey, who has been a Pro Bowl selection the last couple of seasons, Pouncey missed the first four games of the 2014 campaign due to an injured hip during the spring. He played all 12 games at guard, but will return to his natural position for 2015.

If Pouncey had not come to terms on a new deal, he would have been paid $7.4 million under the fifth-year team option, according to the Miami Herald.
