Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Zack Greinke will opt out of his current contract and will become a free-agent, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

The 31-year-old had three years and $71 million left on his deal and will likely cash in big this winter. Heyman says that one general manager believes Greinke could get offers between $125 million to $150 million over a five-year term.

This was Greinke's third season with the Dodgers and posted a 19-3 record with a 1.66 ERA and a 0.844 WHIP. He went 1-1 in the playoffs with a 3.29 ERA.

The Dodgers were eliminated in the National League Division Series by the New York Mets in five games. This was the second straight year LA was eliminated in the NLDS.
