A rash of injuries appears to be hitting the Montreal Impact prior to Saturday's match with the Chicago Fire.

Patrick Frolet of RDS reports that defenders Laurent Ciman (knee) and Patrice Bernier (calf) are questionable, while influential midfielder Ignacio Piatti is out of the contest that should see the Major League Soccer debut of German great Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Four Four Two's Paul Tenorio reported on Tuesday that Piatti could be out for several weeks with a groin injury.

Piatti, 32, appeared to pick up an injury late in the Impact's 1-1 draw with New York City FC on March 18. The Argentine did not participate in training with the team on Tuesday.

The team has not made official comment on Piatti's status. After notching 17 goals a year ago, Piatti has one in three appearances to start this season.

The Impact currently sit ninth in the Eastern Conference after a pair of draws and a loss, still searching for their first win on the season.
