The New York Jets have reportedly claimed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins on waivers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Jets were awarded the 2013 second-round pick on Monday.

Seferian-Jenkins was arrested last Friday morning for driving under the influence and released by the Buccaneers later that day.

Seferian-Jenkins had three catches for 44 yards and a touchdown this season but was not without his struggles.

He was thrown out a practice during OTAs by head coach Dirk Koetter and lost his starting role in training camp to Cameron Brate.

The 2014 second-rounder missed 17 of the Buccaneers' 32 games the past two seasons due to injury.

No Jets tight end has recorded a catch this season.
