The UFC featherweight championship unification bout between champion Jose Aldo and interim champion Conor McGregor could be headed to the 85,000 seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas according to a report by Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.

The home of the Dallas Cowboys has housed many major sporting events including the first College Football Playoff National Championship and is slated to be the home of Wrestlemania 32 in April.

The title bout was supposed to headline UFC 189 before a rib injury to Aldo caused the fight to be changed into an interim championship contest between McGregor and Chad Mendes.  A Nevada record 16,019 fans took in the event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and is predicted to also be one of the most bought PPVs in company history.

According to MMAFighting.com Dana White has confirmed interest in the venue as well as an undisclosed December date.
