Linebacker Damaso Munoz has signed a new two-year contract with the Ottawa Redblacks, according to a report from Tim Baines of the Ottawa Sun.

“I’ll be there in red and black for 2016, I’m looking forward to it,” Munoz told the Ottawa Sun.

The 29-year-old was named the team’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player after finishing with 74 tackles, four sacks, and an interception.

Munoz spent the past two seasons with the Redblacks after starting his career with the Edmonton Eskimos. The Rutgers product has 332 tackles, 11 sacks, and two interceptions in his five-year CFL career.
