Steve Nash is headed to the broadcast booth, but don't look for him courtside at NBA games.

The New York Post's Andrew Marchand reports that the basketball icon is joining Turner Sports as part of their Champions League coverage beginning next season.

The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player will work as a studio analyst as American broadcast rights move from Fox to Turner.

A native of Victoria, BC, the 44-year-old Nash comes from a footballing family. His father, John, played professionally and his younger brother, Martin, was a midfielder capped 38 times by Canada from 1997 to 2010. Nash is currently part-owner of his hometown Vancouver Whitecaps, as well as third-division Spanish side, Real Mallorca. He is a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur supporter.

Marchand notes that there are currently no plans for Nash to join Turner's NBA coverage.

An eight-time All-Star, Nash was named a finalist for induction to the 2018 class of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame last weekend, alongside Ray Allen, Jason Kidd and Grant Hill.
