ESPN's Chad Ford reports that the seven-footer out of the Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ontario has been granted eligibility by the NBA.

Under the current CBA, players can declare if "the player is or will be at least nineteen years of age during the calendar year in which the Draft is held, and, at least one NBA Season has elapsed since the player's graduation from high school." Maker, Sudanese-born and Australia-raised, finished his schooling last June and satisfied the requirement.

Maker, who turned 19 in February, has spent the past two years in Orangeville.
