Philadelphia Phillies starter Jeremy Hellickson is the first major leaguer to accept a qualifying offer this season, according to a report by Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Hellickson will make $17.2 million this season on a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old made $7M last season in his first year with the Phillies.  He posted a 12-10 record with a 3.71 ERA in 189 innings over 32 starts.
