FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman reports the 25-year-old outfielder, currently with the Los Angeles Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City, was claimed on revocable waivers on Tuesday by an unknown team. The Dodgers can now try to work out a deal with that team, pull him back or allow the claim to go through.

A native of Cienfuegos, Cuba, Puig has been with the OKC Dodgers since August 2 after the team acquired right fielder Josh Reddick in a trade with the Oakland Athletics.

In 18 games with Oklahoma City, Puig is batting .369 with four home runs and 12 runs batted in and an OPS of .1.045.

Puig said on Tuesday that he's had trouble adjusting to life in the minors.

"Watching the Dodgers being in first place, it's very difficult," Puig told ESPN's Marly Rivera. "The moment I arrived in L.A., people were crazy for me - 50-60 thousand people (cheering) at the stadium. I got used to that amount of fans. Getting to Triple-A and not seeing as many fans is not very appealing or fun to play baseball, but this is what I have to do for my future."

Puig played in 81 games for the Dodgers prior to his demotion. He batted .260 with seven home runs and 34 RBI and an OPS of .706.
