The Los Angeles Rams appear interested in bringing a star with them for their return to Hollywood.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the team has internally dicussed the possibility of signing Peyton Manning, should he decide to play another year. The Denver Broncos pivot has one more year remaining on his deal, but it is widely expected that the 39-year-old will not return to the Mile High City next season and could retire.

On Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that the five-time Most Valuable Player has informed close friends that he intends to call it a career following Sunday's Super Bowl matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Rapoport's report came on the heels of microphones picking up Manning telling New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick that "this might be my last rodeo" after the AFC Championship.

Manning was limited to 10 games this season with plantar fasciitis, starting nine of them. He threw for 2,249 yards on 198 for 331 passing with nine touchdowns and 17 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 44.96.

The New Orleans native will turn 40 in March and if he were to play next season, his 19th in the NFL, he would become only the 20th QB in league history to play at 40 or over.
