The Toronto Raptors are in “advanced negotiations” to extend general manager Masai Ujiri, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst.

Ujiri joined the team in May 2013 and the club has reached the postseason in every season since his hiring. Last season, the Raptors reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history before falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team has also posted franchise-best records in each of the past three seasons, including a 56-26 mark this past year.

Ujiri biggest moves with the Raptors include trading Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks and sending Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings, both in 2013.

Over the past two off-seasons, Ujiri has re-signed both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan in free agency.

The 46-year-old was named NBA executive of the year with the Denver Nuggets in 2013.
