Bruce Irvin is counting down the days till he can leave Seattle and join the Atlanta Falcons.

"I'm going to be in Atlanta next season," the Seahawks linebacker told BlackSportsOnline.com on Thursday. "I'm ready."

Irvin still has a year left on his contract with the Seahawks after the team declined to pick up his fifth-year option.

Irvin sent out some angry tweets after Seattle declined his option and there were some predraft rumours the former first-rounder could be traded to the Falcons.

Irvin is from Atlanta and his former defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, is currently the Falcons head coach.
