The Seattle Seahawks may be without star running back Marshawn Lynch for the remainder of the regular season.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the "belief" is Lynch will need surgery for a sports hernia. Lynch was in Philadelphia on Monday to meet with specialist Dr. William Meyers, who is expected to confirm Lynch's injury.

If the 29-year-old is forced to undergo surgery, his recovery will be set a six weeks. The Seahawks (5-5) have six games remaining on their schedule.
