Marcus Stroman will make his spring debut Saturday against the Canadian National Junior team, according to a report from Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun.

Longley reported Stroman is scheduled to pitch a couple of innings as he makes his way back from shoulder inflammation.

Stroman has been ruled out for Opening Day - March 29 against the New York Yankees - but could still make a start during the first week of the season.

Stroman will be counted on this season as part of what could be a very strong rotation for the Blue Jays. The 26-year-old finished last season 13-9 with a 3.09 earned run average and 164 strikeouts in 201 innings for the Jays.
