Shea Weber will not be joining the Nashville Predators in Chicago.

Tennessean reporter Adam Vingan reported Saturday that the Preds' captain will not be making the trip to Chicago for Game 3 with his teammates, instead staying behind to have his lower-body injury further examined.

Weber left the Preds' 6-3 Friday night win over the Blackhawks after getting hit by Chicago forward Brandon Saad. Weber limped to the bench and did not return to the ice.

The 29-year-old blueliner averaged 26:22 minutes per game over 78 regular season games this season. He has scored 10 goals and 11 assists in 45 career playoff games with the Predators.

Vingan added that forward Mike Fisher would be making the trip to Chicago. Fisher, 34, remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury of his own.
