Former Washington Redskins wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is closing in on a deal with the New York Jets, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Per Rapoport, the two parties are currently working out the details of the contract, which is expected to be finished tonight.

Pryor, 28, struggled mightily last season with the Redskins, nabbing just 20 catches for 240 yards and a touchdown in nine games after the club signed him to a lucrative one-year deal ahead of the season.

A star quarterback in high school, Pryor entered the league at the same position after the Oakland Raiders selected him in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft. He started 15 games for the Raiders at QB over his three seasons with the team.

In 2015, he signed with the Cleveland Browns, and there he began his transition to wide receiver. Pryor recorded 1,007 yards and four touchdowns during the 2016 campaign.
