The New York Jets were busy in the quarterback market Tuesday, re-signing Josh McCown and closing in on a deal for Teddy Bridgewater, according to multiple reports.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported McCown will make $10 million on a one-year deal. A source told Newsday's Calvin Watkins that the 38-year-old McCown has been informed that he will be the team's starting pivot in 2018.

McCown started 13 games for the Jets last season, finishing 267-397 for 2,926 yards and 18 touchdowns to nine interceptions.

Earlier Tuesday Bryant McFadden on CBS Sports reported the Jets were finalizing a deal for Bridgewater.

Bridgewater has played in just one game the past two seasons after suffering a serious knee injury in training camp ahead of the 2016 season. The 25-year-old showed some promise in his first two seasons in the league with the Minnesota Vikings, and for his career is 551-851 for 6,150 yards and 28 touchdowns to 22 interceptions.

With Bridgewater and McCown likely both landing in New York, the Buffalo Bills remain the last known team to be searching for a starting quarterback.
