B.C. Lions defensive lineman Mic’hael Brooks has been fined for his hit on Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant in Saturday’s win.

Brooks hit Durant in the legs during the second quarter of the game. Durant stayed in the game and threw a touchdown to Rob Bagg on the next play, but did not return to the contest after that series.

Brooks was assessed a roughing the passer penalty on the play. Per league policy, the amount he was fined was not disclosed.

Durant has been ruled out for Firday’s contest against the Ottawa Redblacks.

Roughriders offensive lineman Josiah St. John was also fined on Wednesday for a chop block on Brooks during Saturday’s game. St. John’s teammate Jonathan Newsome was fined for a low hit on Lions quarterback Jonathan Jennings.

Lions defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy was also fined for an infraction in Saturday’s game - a dangerous tackle on Roughriders receiver Ricky Collins Jr. 

In total, eight players were fined by the league on Wednesday. The full list of fines, released by the league, is below.

Winnipeg Blue Bomber Sukh Chungh was fined for a dangerous block on Edmonton Eskimos defensive lineman Jabari Hunt.

Toronto Argonaut Cory Greenwood was fined for a hit to the head of Ottawa REDBLACKS running back Nic Grigsby.

Toronto Argonaut Shawn Lemon was fined for a low hit to Ottawa REDBLACKS quarterback Trevor Harris.

Saskatchewan Roughrider Jonathan Newsome was fined for a low hit to BC Lions quarterback Jonathon Jennings.

BC Lion Loucheiz Purifoy was fined for a dangerous tackle on Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Ricky Collins Jr.

Toronto Argonaut Keon Raymond was fined for late hit on Ottawa REDBLACKS running back Nic Grigsby.

Saskatchewan Roughrider Josiah St. John was fined for a chop block on BC Lions defensive lineman Mic’hael Brooks.
