Saskatchewan Roughriders head coach Corey Chamblin is not getting fired. Not by general manager Brendan Taman, according to CFL Insider Gary Lawless, and that could put Taman himself in the line of fire.

The fourth year head coach has come under fire since the Riders' record dropped to 0-4 as a result of Friday's 27-24 loss to the B.C. Lions at Mosaic Stadium.

While fingers are being pointed to Chamblin, Taman has reminded people within the organization that the head coach led them to a Grey Cup just two years ago and believes he can turn things around.

But if Riders president Craig Reynolds succumbs to the pressure from fans and the board and asks Taman to fire Chamblin, Taman's response would be no.

At that point, Reynolds would have a choice of firing Taman and possibly bringing in Jeremy O'Day, whos the team's assistance GM, or he could talk to Chamblin about adding a defensive coordinator - possibly Mike Benevides, who's available.

The future for the Riders is uncertain. If they drop to 0-5 and continue to sit in the West Division cellar, the pressure will only get hotter.

Keep your eye on the Riders. There's change coming; we'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds.
