Pending unrestricted free agent Tobias Rieder is getting strong interest from Canadian clubs, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.

Dreger says four of seven Canadian teams have already engaged in talks and his decision could be made by July 1.

The forward scored 12 goals and 13 assists over 78 games split between the Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes in 2017-18. Arizona traded Rieder and goalie Scott Wedgewood to Los Angeles for goalie Darcy Kuemper on Feb. 21. He is coming off a two-year, $4.45 million contract.

The 25-year-old from Germany was selected by the Coyotes in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Rieder has 55 goals and 62 assists over 312 career games with the Coyotes and Kings.
