Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies have activated third baseman Nolan Arenado from the 15-day disabled list to start Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Arenado has been sidelined since May 23 after fracturing his finger sliding head first into second base in a game against the Atlanta Braves.

The 23-year-old set a club record with a 28-game hitting streak earlier this season and was batting .305 with six home runs, 28 RBI and 27 runs scored over 49 games.

To make room on the roster, Colorado optioned pitcher Christian Friedrich to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
