ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Chad Ruhwedel scored at 5:46 of overtime on the power play as the Rochester Americans edged the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-3 in American Hockey League action on Saturday night.

Luke Adam, Zac Dalpe and Phil Varone also scored for the Americans (10-16-1), who snapped a six-game losing streak.

Drayson Bowman, Christian Thomas and Gabriel Dumont had goals for Hamilton (12-10-5).

Andrey Makarov made 31 saves in net for Rochester while Joey MacDonald turned away 38 shots for the Bulldogs.

The Americans scored twice on three power-play chances while Hamilton went 1 for 3 on the man advantage.
