British Columbia

Team Marla Mallett defeated Team Diane Gushulak, 6-3, in the BC final.

 

Alberta

Shannon Kleibrink got past Val Sweeting and will return to the Scotties for the first time since 2011.

 

Saskatchewan

Penny Barker will compete in her first national championship after winning Saskatchewan. 

 

Manitoba

Michelle Englot is off to her ninth Scotties and first playing out of the province of Manitoba after upsetting Jennifer Jones in the Page Playoff and then Darcy Robertson in the final.

Team Rachel Homan will make their return to the Scotties this year after beating Team Jacqueline Harrison in the Ontario final.

2017 Champion: Krista McCarville

Team Krista McCarville topped Team Tracy Fleury in the final, 10-6, and will play in their second consecutive Canadian championship.

 

Quebec

2017 Champion: Eve Belisle

Eve Belisle beat defending provincial champ Marie-France Larouche in the final, 7-4, and will compete in her third career national championship

 

New Brunswick

Team Robyn MacPhee came back to beat Veronica Smith in the Prince Edward Island final and will compete in St. Catharines at the Scotties. This will be MacPhee's eighth appearance at the national championship, having played with Suzanne Burt in years past.

 

Newfoundland and Labrador

Defending champion Stacie Curtis is going back to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts after beating Shelley Hardy in the final, 8-4.

Team Sarah Koltun will represent the territory this year and will participate in the pre-qualifying tournament. 

 

Northwest Territories

2016 Champion: Kerry Galusha

2017 Champion: Kerry Galusha

Team Kerry Galusha will represent the Northwest Territories at the Scotties for a third straight year in St. Catharines after they were the only team to sign up for their playdowns. They will have to win the pre-qualifier in order to play in the main draw during the week. 

 

Nunavut

2016 Champion: Geneva Chislett

2017 Champion: Geneva Chislett

Geneva Chislett will represent Nunavut at the Scotties for a second straight year. Team Chislett won one game last year, an 8-7 triumph over BC in the pre-qualifier.
