The Ottawa Senators have placed winger Colin Greening on waivers.

Greening has struggled this season, scoring only one goal in 20 games. He has been a healthy scratch since January 8.

The 28-year-old was Ottawa’s seventh round pick in the 2005 Draft. His best season was in 2011-12, when he scored 17 goals and 37 points and played in all 82 games.

Greening is signed through the 2016-17 season on a deal worth $2.65 million annually.

If he clears waivers, Greening will be assigned to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL.
