CAMDEN, N.J. - Officials have confirmed that Philadelphia 76ers centre Jahlil Okafor was recently cited in New Jersey for driving at "an excessive rate of speed" and reckless driving on a major area bridge.

The Delaware River Port Authority confirmed Monday that the NBA player was stopped on the Ben Franklin Bridge on Oct. 19. The agency did not disclose how fast Okafor was travelling, but published reports have said it was more than 100 mph.

The speed limit on the bridge is 45 mph.

The 6-foot-11 rookie from Duke has declined comment on the matter. But he has apologized through social media for his recent decisions, including a recent fight in Boston.
