BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Dhane Smith scored five goals as the Buffalo Bandits beat Toronto 14-8 on Saturday to eliminate the Rock from the National Lacrosse League playoffs.

Ryan Benesch had four goals and Mark Steenhuis and Nick Weiss added two apiece for Buffalo (11-5). Alexander-Kedoh also chipped in while Davide DiRuscio made 50 saves for the win.

Stephan Leblanc found the back of the net four times to lead the Rock (5-11), who missed the post-season for just the third time in franchise history. Turner Evans struck twice with Josh Sanderson and Dan Lintner rounding out the attack.

Nick Rose took the loss after turning aside 28-of-34 shots in 36:24 for Toronto. Brandon Miller started the game but was relieved after kicking out 12-of-17 shots in 23:36.

The Bandits were 4 for 6 on the power play with the Rock converting once on four chances with the man advantage.
