Road to the World Cup - CONCACAF/OFC Playoff

CONCACAF's fourth place team Mexico will face the Oceania champion New Zealand in a two-leg playoff for a berth in the 2014 World Cup.

Mexico survived a loss on the final day of qualifying to finish fourth in CONCACAF and advance into this playoff matchup. They have participated in five straight World Cup tournaments dating back to 1994.




New Zealand advanced into the playoff with an undefeated run through the Oceania Football Confederation final round. They have made the World Cup twice: 1982 and 2010.
