Toronto FC earned a single point in the Walt Disney Pro Soccer Classic on Wednesday with a scoreless draw against Philadelphia Union.
TFC forward Andrew Weideman had one of the best chances to break the deadlock in the 61st minute when he was played in by midfielder Michael Bradley, but was stopped by Union keeper Zac MacMath.
Keeper Julio Cesar made three saves to earn the clean sheet for Toronto FC.
"I thought our performance was good today,” said TFC head coach Ryan Nelsen. “Was there things to work on? Of course."
Team captain Steven Caldwell agreed with his coach's assessment of the team's effort.
"We felt strong, and a lot more organized," said Caldwell.
