MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact have come to terms with Spanish midfielder Gorka Larrea.

The 30-year-old Larrea played 22 games in Spain's La Liga with Real Sociedad from 2003 to 2006 and Levante UD in 2010.

He also played more than 100 games in Spanish second division with Real Sociedad, UD Almeria, Levante UD and CD Numancia.

The central midfielder has also appeared in several Copa del Rey games over his career.

On the international scene, Larrea represented Spain at various youth levels, making 15 appearances from the U16 to U23 levels. He was part of the team that won the 2001 UEFA European U16 Championship, which included striker Fernando Torres, and also helped the Spanish U23 side win the 2005 Mediterranean Games.
