Bolton, England (Sports Network) - Bolton moved off the bottom of the Premiership table on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Reebok Stadium.

Ricardo Gardner scored in the league for the first time in five years when he finished off a cross from Gretar Steinsson in the 76th minute, while an own- goal from City's Richard Dunne sealed the win two minutes from time.

Bolton failed to generate any offense in the first half, while Robinho narrowly missed giving City the lead six minutes in when his long-range effort sailed just over the crossbar.

Ched Evans was played into the box on the right by Shaun Wright-Phillips but he shot right into the chest of Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen right before the break, leaving both teams without a goal at halftime.

Jaaskelainen came up with a big save on Robinho after the break as he was set up by Evans, but Bolton got into the game over the final 30 minutes and seized the win.

Gary Cahill provided Kevin Nolan with a good ball that put Nolan through on goal, only for City keeper Joe Hart to turn the midfielder away, but the visitors couldn't hold off Bolton's attack with 15 minutes to play.

Steinsson collected the ball on the right and sent a low cross towards the front of goal for Gardner, who side-footed it off the underside of the crossbar and into the net.

Gardner then had a hand in the insurance tally as he carried the ball into the box on the left and slid a cross towards the far post, only for Dunne to redirect the ball into his own net.
