BREMEN, Germany -- Werder Bremen midfielder Diego says he has agreed personal terms for a move to Juventus, although no contract has been signed yet.

"I am all clear with Juventus," the Brazilian playmaker told the regional newspaper Syke in an interview released Wednesday.

"If the clubs were in agreement, I would then say that next season I'll be playing for Juventus," Diego said. "But I haven't signed any paper with an official Juventus letterhead."

Several advisers and agents have linked Diego with Juventus in recent days, although the Bild newspaper in Germany has reported he is moving to Bayern Munich.

While Bayern has denied any talks with Diego's entourage, the player said there had been "loose contact" with Bayern through his adviser, and that he did not have an official offer from the German powerhouse.

"Only if Werder told me there was an official offer from Bayern and that I should look into it would I consider it," Diego told the Syke newspaper.

Diego said he expected his future to be decided by Friday.

The Brazilian helped Werder qualify for the UEFA Cup final against Shakhtar Donetsk but will miss the May 20 game in Istanbul because of accumulated yellow cards.

His contract runs through 2011, but Werder has said it will let him go for an adequate transfer fee.

Diego came to Werder in 2006 from Porto and quickly became one of the Bundesliga's top players.
