FRANKFURT, Germany -- Bayern Munich beat Hoffenheim 2-0 on Saturday for its seventh straight Bundesliga victory, with Franck Ribery scoring both goals.

Ribery scored early in each half and Bayern cruised past Hoffenheim to maintain its perfect start to the domestic season and bounce back from a Champions League 3-1 loss at BATE Borisov midweek.

"We came back from a tough Champions League match and I was very pleased with our defensive effort," Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes said.

"We played very cleverly, we dominated and we didn't allow them a chance. We were very motivated. It was clear to me after the first goal that we could always score a second," Heynckes said.

Bayern is off to its best start since 1995 and has won 10 of 11 matches in all competitions.

"It' a good record and we can relax and have fun at the Oktoberfest tomorrow," midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger said.

Ribery said Bayern must strive to win "every match."

"We should not be looking at other teams but concentrate on our effort," the France winger said.

Hamburger SV continued its recovery by winning 1-0 in Greuther Fuerth on a goal by Heung-min Son.

Promoted Fortuna Duesseldorf lost its first match of the season, going down 1-0 with 10 men at Mainz.

Freiburg routed Nuremberg 3-0 to hand the visitors their fourth straight loss, while Schalke beat Wolfsburg 3-0 as Felix Magath's team remained next to last in the Bundesliga.

Hamburg won its fourth in five matches, while promoted Greuther Fuerth stayed winless in five straight and was stuck at the bottom of the standings, one point behind Wolfsburg.

Son maximized the first chance for Hamburg, shaking off a defender in the middle of the pitch and racing down solo to slot inside the far post.

Magath was given a hostile reception at his former club Schalke, which took the lead in the 33rd when Jefferson headed home a cross from Christian Fuchs.

Ibrahim Afellay scored less than a minute into the second half and Roman Neustaedter completed the victory, both getting their first goals for Schalke.

Magath steered Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title in 2009 but the team now has only one win in seven games.

'We knew that Schalke is stronger than we are at the moment but we were in control until the first goal. We lost possession in our half and that's always a problem," Magath said.

"Then we conceded an early goal in the second half and that was it. We keep falling behind, we have problems both in defence and in attack," Magath said.

Captain Nikolce Noveski headed in the winner off a corner for Mainz in the 85th after Duesseldorf had been reduced to 10 men with the red card for Oliver Fink.

Nuremberg lost its fourth straight at Freiburg.

Cedrick Makiadi scored in the first half and Freiburg secured the victory with injury-time goals from Daniel Caligiuri from a penalty and Marco Terrazzino.

On Sunday, undefeated Eintracht Frankfurt visits Borussia Moenchengladbach, defending champion Borussia Dortmund travels to Hannover and Stuttgart hosts Bayer Leverkusen.
