BARCELONA, Spain -- Barcelona says forward Alexis Sanchez will be sidelined for four weeks with a foot injury.
Alexis hurt a ligament in his right foot while playing for Chile in a friendly against Serbia on Wednesday in Switzerland.
The club says the 23-year-old Alexis will miss seven to eight games, including two Champions League group matches against Spartak Moscow and Benfica.
Alexis has played in 15 games for Barcelona this season, scoring once. He missed one game because of a muscle pull.
Barcelona leads the Spanish league and plays Zaragoza on Saturday.
