SEVILLE, Spain -- Barcelona says midfielder Cesc Fabregas will be sidelined for up to a month because of a leg injury.

Fabregas had to be substituted in the ninth minute of Barcelona's 2-1 win at Real Betis on Sunday after pulling a muscle in his left leg.

The Spain international will miss Spanish league games against Atletico Madrid and Valladolid and the Copa del Rey match versus Cordoba.

Barcelona leads the league after its record start of 14 wins and one draw.
