Whitecaps head to South Carolina for pre-season tournament

VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Whitecaps will join three other teams at the pre-season Carolina Challenge Cup.

The Whitecaps open Feb. 16 against the host Charleston Battery before facing the Houston Dynamo on Feb. 20 and the Chicago Fire on Feb. 23.

The Montreal Impact and Toronto FC previously announced they are returning to the Disney Pro Soccer Classic in Orlando.

MLS teams will also take part in pre-season tournaments in Portland and Tucson.
