London, England (Sports Network) - Swansea City became the first club from Wales to hoist the Capital One Cup trophy on Sunday after the Swans easily dispatched Bradford City, 5-0, at Wembley Stadium.

Jonathan De Guzman and Nathan Dyer each bagged a brace and Michu added a goal as the Swans had no trouble with the League Two side in the 53rd edition of the League Cup Final.

The Premier League side got off to a flying start just 16 minutes into the game when Michu fired a hard shot on net on the counter attack that was stopped by Bradford goalkeeper Matt Duke, but Dyer slammed home the rebound for the first of many on the afternoon.

It was 2-0 for Swansea five minutes before halftime when Michu collected a pass in the box, turned quickly and beat Duke to the bottom right corner of the net.

The Swans assumed complete control in the 47th minute after Dyer played a deft one-two with Wayne Routledge before getting it back and sliding it home for the 3-0 cushion.

Duke was shown a red card for a rash challenge in the 56th minute and Swansea took advantage of having the extra man. De Guzman made it 4-0 after converting a penalty kick and put a bow on a spectacular performance with his second goal of the match in stoppage time.

The win gives Swansea its first major trophy as well as a place in the Europa League competition next season. It was also the largest margin of victory in the history of the League Cup.
