The Canadian women's soccer team will play a pair of home games against the reigning World Cup champions from Japan in October.  The first match will take place on October 25th in Edmonton and will be followed by a second match on October 28th in Vancouver.

"Playing the reigning world champions Japan in a FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015 Official Host City not only provides our Women's National Team with the best preparation possible, but also gives Alberta fans across the soccer community a tremendous opportunity to experience firsthand what the world's best women's soccer nations have to offer," said Peter Montopoli, Canada Soccer's General Secretary.

Edmonton will also be the site of Canada's two initial group stage matches at the 2015 Women's World Cup.
