London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - West Ham has confirmed that captain Kevin Nolan will miss the next six weeks due to a fractured shoulder.
Nolan suffered the injury in training last Thursday and was forced to miss his team's 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace over the weekend. And West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has now confirmed the extent of the injury.
"Kevin fractured his shoulder and that's a massive blow to us, along with all the other players we've got injured," Allardyce said.
"He will be out for probably six weeks I would think."
The 32-year-old Nolan appeared in 33 Premier League games for the Hammers last season, scoring seven goals with five assists.
