Crosby and Oshie get tricky; Giordano, Allen and much more in Scott Cullen's Statistically Speaking.

HEROES

Conor Sheary, Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel - Crosby recorded a hat trick in Sunday's 4-0 win over Florida, with all three goals assisted by both of his wingers. Crosby hit 40 goals on the season, for the first time since 2009-2010, and has 10 points (6 G, 4 A) in the past five games. Sheary is up to 22 points (9 G, 13 A) in his past 16 games and Guentzel, the rookie, has 13 points (5 G, 8 A) in the past 12 games. Crosby has tied Connor McDavid, at 80 points, for the scoring lead.

T.J. Oshie - Washington's right winger tallied a hat trick, and added an assist, in Saturday's 5-3 win at Tampa Bay. He has 14 points (9 G, 5 A) in the past 13 games. Oshie's playmaking centre, Nicklas Backstrom put up four assists, giving him 11 points (2 G, 9 A) in the past eight games.

Mark Giordano - Calgary's captain delivered a goal and two assists in Friday's 3-1 win over Dallas, along with another goal in Sunday's 5-2 win against Los Angeles. He has 12 points (6 G, 6 A) in the past 15 games.

Jake Allen - St. Louis' netminder stopped all 31 shots that he faced in Saturday's 3-0 win at Arizona. He has a .949 save percentage in his past nine starts.

ZEROES

Marc Methot and Erik Karlsson - The Senators defence duo was on the ice for three goals against in Sunday's 4-1 loss at Montreal.

Mikael Granlund - The Wild right winger was on the ice for four 5-on-5 goals against in two weekend losses.

Devan Dubnyk - Minnesota's goaltender gave up five goals on 21 shots in Sunday's 5-4 loss at Winnipeg. He has a .875 save percentage in his past eight games.

Calvin Pickard - Colorado's netminder allowed five goals on 23 shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss at Detroit. He had a .930 save percentage in his previous 11 starts.

VITAL SIGNS

Marian Hossa - Chicago's veteran winger missed both weekend wins due to a lower-body injury.

Shane Doan - Arizona's captain missed Saturday's 3-0 loss to St. Louis with a lower-body injury.

Darren Helm - The veteran Detroit forward appeared to suffer a lower-body injury after taking a hit from Avalanche defenceman Erik Johnson Saturday.

Jannik Hansen - San Jose's newly-acquired winger suffered an upper-body injury after taking a high stick in Saturdays' 2-1 loss to Anaheim.

Andre Burakovsky - The Capitals winger returned to the lineup after missing six weeks with a broken hand. He had an assist and a season-high seven shots on goal.
