AVERY DOES DALLAS

Nice one, Dallas!

The geniuses at the Stars office have decided to scratch Sean Avery from the line-up, permanently.

And probably take a bath on the deal.  But that's beside the point.

"The Stars will have closure on this episode." said Dallas co-GM Brett Hull.  "The team needs to put its energies into winning."

Because as we all know, if for nothing else, the Stars are known for winning.

Oh, and for using Sean Avery as their cop-out for royally sucking.

But now that that little problem has been resolved, I suppose it's time to update those Stanley Cup predictions.

Because I was kinda figuring Lord Stanley's mug would end up in Detroit, maybe Montreal, one of the Pennsylvania teams, or whichever team signs Mats Sundin today -- probably the Rangers.

But now that the evil locker room cancer out of the mix, we can scratch those predictions and place all bets on the Dallas Stars, who are now a shoo-in for the NHL Championship.

You go out there and prove how much Sean Avery held you back, boys.

Let the Dallas legacy years begin.

Or not.
