The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed free agent import defensive end Brandon Guillory.
Guillory led the Edmonton Eskimos with six quarterback sacks in 2008, while adding 21 defensive tackles and two pass knockdowns in 11 games. He also excelled in the postseason, recording eight defensive tackles and three quarterback sacks in Edmonton's two playoff games last year.
''Brandon is a quick, athletic defensive end who has the ability to come off the edge and put some pressure on opposing quarterbacks,'' said general manager Bob O'Billovich. ''He was a very productive player in Edmonton and we're confident that his size, speed and experience will strengthen our defence.''
The 25-year-old has spent the last three years with the Eskimos after signing as a free agent on September 26, 2006. Guillory attended training camp with the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs in 2006.
