ZAGREB, Croatia -- Mackenzie Bent of Uxbridge, Ont., and Garrett MacKeen of Oshawa, Ont., just missed the podium in ice dancing on Saturday to conclude the sixth stop on the ISU Junior Grand Prix figure skating circuit.

Bent and MacKeen were looking to at least match their bronze medal showing at Junior Grand Prix last month in Austria but fell short and finished fourth with 118.64.

Valeria Zenkova and Valerie Sinitsin led Russia to a 1-2 finish with 134.63 points. Evgenia Kosigina and Nikolai Moroshkin were second at 134.59 while Rachel Parsons and Michael Parsons of the U.S., were third at 134.09.

"Overall we were happy with our performance but there are things we could have done better," said Bent, 15, three years younger than her partner.

Melinda Meng and Andrew Meng of Ottawa were sixth at 113.02.

In women's competition, Angela Wang and Hannah Miller, both of the U.S., were 1-2. Anna Pogorilaya of Russia was third.

Alaine Chartrand of Prescott, Ont., was sixth at 137.72.

The last stop on the circuit before the Grand Prix final in December is this Thursday to Saturday in Chemnitz, Germany.
