Team Canada will open the world junior selection camp without Kelowna Rockets forward Colton Sissons.

The Rockets' captain is currently sidelined with an upper-body injury.

Sissons will not be replaced, bringing the number of players attending camp to 36, including four goaltenders, 12 defencemen and 20 forwards.

The 19-year-old, who was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 2nd round (50th overall) in 2012, has 10 goals and 27 points in 27 games with the Rockets this season.

Canada's national junior team selection camp runs Dec. 11-13, 2012 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.
