The Vancouver Canucks bolstered their roster on Friday with the addition of forward Tom Sestito, whom they acquired through waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers.

In seven games with the Flyers this season, the 25-year-old left winger has two goals, both in a February 5th game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and 12 penalty minutes.

Sestito was a third round selection of the Columbus Blue Jackets, 85th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and has seven points and 159 penalty minutes over the course of his NHL career.

The Utica, New York native could possibly fill the void left behind by forward Aaron Volpatti, who was lost by the Canucks via waivers on Thursday to the Washington Capitals.

Volpatti appeared in 16 games for the Canucks this season and had one goal and 28 penalty minutes before being placed on waivers and lost to the Capitals.
