TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs have reassigned defenceman Jesse Blacker to the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies.

The Maple Leafs brought Blacker up on Monday, but he did not play in any games.

In 53 games with the Marlies this season, the six-foot-two, 190-pound defenceman has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and 31 minutes in penalties.

He was originally Toronto's third choice, 58th overall in the 2009 draft.
