With the NHL Trade Deadline now less than a week away, teams are making decisions on whether to buy or sell. Check out Thursday's trade rumours and speculation from around the NHL beat, and follow TSN.ca each day until Deadline Day for all the updates.

Into the Spotlight

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun wrote on ESPN.com that the asking price for Calgary Flames defenceman Jay Bouwmeester is high.

With Jarome Iginla now playing for the Penguins, the spotlight has turned to Bouwmeester as the Flames look to retool their roster.

"I think they move Bouwmeester," one NHL team executive told ESPN.com Friday. "But they want a lot for him."

Miller Time?

Andy Strickland of True Hockey reports that goaltender Ryan Miller, who has trade protection built into his contract, has given the Buffalo Sabres a list of eight teams that he will not accept a trade to.

Miller has one year left on his current deal, with an annual cap hit of $6.25 million.

Forget about Marty

While his name has surfaced in the pre-Deadline rumour mill, it appears the speculation can definitviely be ended as to whether or not Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis will be on the move this week.

In an interview with TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun on ESPN.com, Tampa general manager Steve Yzerman stated that the winger is going nowhere.

"Marty St. Louis is not going to be traded," Steve Yzerman told LeBrun. "He remains one of the best players in the league and an extremely important player to our team, both on and off the ice. We are a team in transition, we just made a coaching change, Marty is one of the leaders of the team, he is not going anywhere."

No Fuel For The Fire

Mikka Kiprusoff is declining to comment on reports that he would refuse to report to another team if he is traded before the April 3 deadline and possible speculation that he will retire at the end of the year.

"I'm not going to talk about it," the veteran netminder told George Johnson of the Calgary Herald. “It is what it is, the rumours and stuff going around. I'd rather speak about when I'm playing and what I'm trying to do to win the next game. That's it.”
